Finally, some progress!!!

I am finally making some progress on my Central Park Hoodie. I am up to the point where I am working on the hood.
Here are some pictures of the shoulder seams. I crocheted it on the wrong side using the Single Crochet stitch.

I lined up the stitches with the padlock shaped stitch markers.

Wow!!! What a neat seam for my first try. This is why it is very important to bind off loosely.
The seam from the wrong side.
Now it is starting to actually look like a sweater.
Progress on the hood, about 4 inches.
I added the cable to the center of the hood. It looks better this way.

Only 7 more inches to go!! Woohoo! You think maybe I can finish this before the week is done? Although there were many distractions while knitting this sweater, I am all excited all over again, and I am still in love with the color.

Great job! The seeming looks beautiful. It would be great if you got it done in a week. Good luck and keep plugging away. I can't wait to see the FO on you!

I think I should attempt to change careers to "Professional Hand Knitwear Seamer". How much you think I would get paid? I would have to charge by the amount of pieces, and invisible seaming is double the price. Hehe!!

Where did you get the idea to single crochet the shoulder seams? I always mattress stitch, but I'm thinking the crochet might be easier. Cool. I am in love with the color also. It is THE color for fall.

Mary Beth, Chante from the Harlem Purl blog suggested it. The crochet seam is also very popular when knitting together blocks for a blanket. I tried the invisible stitch, but when I had to change between knit and purl, it started to look weird, so I took it out.
I went shopping the other day, and was shocked to find that mostly every store was using that color. Hmmm maybe I should become a fashion forecaster. I had this yarn since last winter. You think I have ESP???
