I just can't control myself!!!

Okay, so I just said a few days ago, that I would not buy any more yarn until the festival in October. A good friend of mine with the initials D.K. recently received her Bachelor's Degree. I am soooo proud of her. She had a fabulous dinner on the night of her graduation, that I was unable to attend due to a death of someone very close to me. So, D.K. mentioned to me that she really, really, wanted the Colinette Jitterbug yarn in Fire. And, since I was thinking of what to get her for her graduation gift, and had no clue...... ding ding ding.... the lightbulb went on in my head. D.K., I am so sorry to spoil the surprise, but I had to let the world know. This is for you sweetie!! I am so glad that you now actually have the time to knit with it, instead of dealing with grueling assignments.

Oh, you must be wondering what those Lorna's Laces are in the picture, huh? Well, somehow they crawled into my shopping bag without me even realizing it. I got home, and an extra $20 was missing from my purse. How did that happen???? I need to find a new job. Seaport Yarn is way too close to my office.
I will say that if you speak things into the universe, it will come into existence. Last week, I told the owner that I was looking for the Lorna's Laces in Flamingo. I went there today, and guess what? They had just arrived. It was meant to be!!! If you didn't already know, pink is my favorite color.
Any suggestions on what to make???
So now the Yardage total has moved up to 22,238, and the Weight total is 10,319 grams.
Total skeins=128.5
This is not good. Shouldn't the numbers be going down???

Sot stressing the stash! really. It's OK if you have lots of yarn. Didn't you know that whoever dies with the largest yarn stash wins? As logn as it's not inteferring with your bills or livelyhood, I don't see a problem.
And as for that flamingo yarn, I suggest that you get the book Sensational Knitted Socks or take a look at the archived sock patterns on Knitty and Magknits. I think you may be partial to the Baudelair pattern on knitty though.

It's the Yarn Harlot's fault. Ever since I went to the book signing, and she started talking about hiding your stash from your loved ones, and buying things in secret, and not telling people where you are going when you attend a knitting function.... I have been feeling guilty. Okay, I've had about enough. I need to buy or make an "I'm knitting .. don't bother me" T-shirt.

I have the Sensational Knitted Socks book. I will look through it again.

Honey get your ring code up for the Knit Bloggers ring. I want to add you but I can't until the code is in your sidebar!!!

OMG I love that Fire colorway it's beautiful. I'm going to have to hike down to Seaport soon.

Don't stress the stash. A true knitter can't survive without one and we each find one that is the right size for us;)

Having a stash is okay, you just need to keep it under control. It would be hard to never buy anything new. Just try to use it up faster than you add to it.

Cookie A's Monkey sock pattern is great with Lorna's Laces.

I don't think you can go wrong with any Knitty sock pattern, though, but Monkey is my favorite.

Lorna's Laces is always welcome in my home, I will take good care of it for you. I will even let you have visitation rights ... maybe. It will knit up beautifully no matter what you decide.

I love the LL in Pink Flamingo! I was looking everywhere for it and finally found it. The fire colorway is super nice, enchanting, reminds me of a phoenix.
