4 Days Later.. Making Progress!!

I have made some progress on my vest. The current total length is about 12 inches. I am going to add an extra inch to the length, then proceed to split the front and back, and do the armhole shaping. So, I am almost back to the point where I originally frogged it. Here are some pictures comparing it to the sweater that fits really well. It is about 1 inch wider, but I can live with that. It leaves room for a button-down shirt to be worn below the vest.

Taking control of your knitting is very liberating!!!! I am smiling for real now.

Awesome job! I know you are very happy. That inch difference is sooooo much better than what you had before. I'll be seeing this on you before we know it. I'm smiling with you.

Thanks to Elizabeth Z. for letting us all know that we "are the boss of our own knitting." The vest looks great. Didn't I tell ya it knits faster the 2nd. time around?

You threw that baby down! Nice job reminding it who's the boss!

Wow, I'm really impressed. I probably would have given up and made a skirt, or I would have frogged it and made something else.
Congratulations.

Yeah! You're knitting that so quickly! You'll be wearing it before you know it and it will be a vest not a dress.
