So, I used the Paton's yarn, and this is about as far as I have reached.
Front
Back - red line is for the afterthought heel.
I like the pattern, but the yarn feels so rough to me, and I have lost all mojo on this sock. I think I want to turn the yarn into a bird's nest. When did I become such a yarn snob? Geez!
So, the magic number for the people that get through to the next round is 8. As of last night, there were 7 people done. I decided to end the torture and work on this. I don't feel like I really forfeited the competition. I feel like I just decided to make something that was more enjoyable.
Last night I started to work on the lace section of my Ishbel Shawl made put of Mmmmalabrigo Sock yarn in Solis.
So, I checked the Sock Madness blog this morning and saw that position #8 is taken. I don't feel bad at all. I am loving my Ishbel Shawl. It is so soft and Squishy.

That's right!!! Do what makes you happy! Congratulations on making it as far as you did it, because I know there is no way I I would have made it as far as you did. I am loving the shawl though.
You did well by going as far as you did girl! Worry not. Use your time wisely to knit what you want and what makes you feel good. why do you think I cast on so many projects??
Also, I could've warned you about that Kroy...
Oh, I feel bad since you were ahead for so long. But if you are not feeling it, you are not feeling it. Your Ishbel is looking great!

The sock looks so pretty even if the yarn is rough. From one yarn snob to another, Patons Kroy: meh!
